A right hand course suited to past distance and course winners. The course is not suited to long striding gallopers
Analysis
A high class event with most with ambitions toward Cheltenham in March. From the speed ratings this looks like contest between Kadarann, stable mate Azertyuoip and making up the numbers Edredon Bleu. Further analysis seems to indicate that Kadarann is suited to a left handed track and a sound surface. Azetyuiop won last years Queen Mother Chase at Cheltenham but concides weight to all. Edredon Bleu is very suited to right handed tracks, jumps well but is more suited to firm conditions.

"The reigning 2m champion AZERTYUIOP faced no easy task under a weight that corresponded to a mark of 174, especially as he was reportedly 12 kilos over his ideal racing weight and was competing on ground that would have been testing enough for most horses on their first run of the season. He was keen in the early stages, his head going from side to side as he clearly wanted to go quicker, but moved upsides at the third-last, which he jumped more or less upsides Kadarann and Seebald, and went on before two out. He started to look a bit weary going to the last, but was well on top."
