Course Description
The flat course is an oval affair that extends for about 13 furlongs with fairly sharp and semi circular, right-handed bends. There is a 4½ furlong uphill run in - stamina is all important:

Again the stats indicate that either the first and second favourite are the one to focus on. Bahar Shumaal falls into the category of being promising once-raced maidens that flatter next time out at short prices; therefore Arturius gets the call.

Just an ordinary maiden but BAHAR SHUMAAL proved a class apart, confirming the good impression of his racecourse debut at Newbury 17 days ago. The extra two furlongs here played to his strength and after setting the pace he had the race won into thefinal two furlongs and galloped on strongly. He now heads for the King Edward VII Stakes over another two furlongs.
