Initially this was a race to avoid given its competitive feel on ratings however, closer examination indicates that a number of exposed runners will need to improve from career high marks and roll back the sands of time to land the spoils.

With a weak draw bias and moderate pace adding to this trapping affair, I’ve selected Jalamid who is relatively unexposed and dropped to a winning handicap mark. 3rd behind Proclamation last year, a change of stable to the sprint master Dandy Nicholls and a step up to his preferred trip catching the eye, Coeur Courageux might be worth a small punt also.
