Course Description
Left handed, tight undulating, sharp track, this course favours nimble front running types that have stamina to cope with sharp gradients. A definite “horses for courses” feel to this track

Analysis
I mentioned in my betting methodology, as a rule I do not bet on Sundays (and not for religious reasons). However as this event is one of the principle meetings of the year and prize money of £18,061.20 on offer, a slipperytoad attack is warranted.

French Executive has the feel a horse that can lift first prize. He is suited to both course (60% strike rate) and distance and is top rated on chase form and speed ratings for this track. The only doubts are that he is steeping up in grade and the comments of the trainer

The other dangers are Radcliff and Garolsa and both have course experience in their favour. Again both horses are making taking a step up in grade and both are behind French Executive on speed ratings.

As rule I don’t like backing favourites but given the fact that this course favours specialists and the comment of the trainer, the vote goes to French Executive.
