Folkstone - 3:20 (11th April 2006)
3:20 6f - Egg Cup Handicap (Class 4) 4yo+
No tissue today given the following draw statistic over 6 furlongs at Folkestone
“On good/good to soft or softer going the top 6 stalls won 19 of 23 races 82%.”

Over this distance, prominent runners are favoured
Of those drawn high, split win (low stakes) bets are on
Swinbrook – Seemed to relish the soft conditions in his end of season win at Nottingham. Has been knocking on the door in this grade and if not inconvenienced by the 174 day course absence should go well. Prominent running style
Guildenstern – Goes well extremely fresh. Has competed against (and beaten) horses that have gone on to win at higher grades. Jockey/Trainer combination has a high strike rate and very shrewd yard. Only negative, hold up running style.
Other the others, I like the look of
Who’s Winning who is one that has competed at a much higher grade and on a winning handicap mark. A prominent racer, the only doubt is his draw position in stall 6
Bird Over was a genuine & progressive as a 3yo, another who goes well fresh. Course/distance winner, prominent running style and no issues with the ground. Trainer interview reported that she is not well handicapped but races here due to limited opportunities on soft going. Possibly one to follow on soft going in fillies events if running well here today.
