As this is a new race there are no historical stats in terms of favourite’s performance. However there are a number of factors counting against the selection.

Pseudonym is a talented 4yo but now he’s up against older horses and in my experience thus far I have not seen many 4yo’s having the strength and ability to beat their elders.

The other factors counting against the selection are his trainer record at Ludlow (0-28) and trainer record in these type of events (13/202 ~ 6% in handicap hurdles and 12/188 ~ 6% in novice hurdles)
