Southwell - 4:30 (20th Mar 2007)
To reiterate, the process now is to handicap a specific race and turn the results of this analysis into a tissue. Once early prices are available, I will monitor the market until 5 minutes before the off. My tissue will be compared against the opinion of the various betting shows (the opinion of the “crowd”) to determine if a value selection exists.

Macademy Royal’s trainer has a good record at Southwell, however I usually oppose maidens, first time in a handicap. Especially one that is prime “bounce” material. If in the mood well rated Hamaasy, could use the pace set by Going Skint to bolt up on a surface he relishes but takes a slight rise in class today (a relative term at this level of racing).
Effective seems to prefer polytrack in his last race on fibresand he was staying on before hampered in the final furlong. As advised by some well respected American handicappers, I’m trying to discount stable form from my analysis but Effective’s trainers 0-14 record in 4yo+ handicaps at Southwell is well …… concerning. Count Cougar returns to a winning distance and loves this surface, but has all to do from a wide berth.
7/2 Hamaasy, Effective, 4/1 Count Cougar, 5/1 Macademy Royal

value bets near the off are Hamaasy & Effective
Count Cougar wired the field from a wide draw to lead all on a surface that suited front runners. Wish I had been close to the TV all day to see the previous races.
