Catterick - 1:50 (16 Dec 2004)
Document Express Limited Anniversary Handicap Steeple Chase (D ) 3m1f110y
Course Description
This track takes little getting as its eight fences are hardly formidable affairs. It tends to suit small, handy front running speedsters that can poach leads around the tight turns that are long enough to prevent their being pegged back on the short 240 yard run-in. Dour gallopers tend hardly to get going or to be able to stretch out and settle
Analysis
As this track favours previous course winners, the vote goes to Forest Dante.
Forest Dante was 2nd last time out over course and distance. Very tough and consistent he is well handicapped to win again and should turn the tables on Weaver George who was first in that race and runs again today.

Just an ordinary gallop to this staying chase in which LORD CAPITAINE(1) confirmed his good recent run at Ayr. Jumping well, he was always up with the pace and stayed on well to win only his second race away from Sedgefield on ground that was consideredfast enough for him.
Simlet shaped better than on his previous start at Newcastle, but he's proving tricky to win with these days, a remark which also applies to Doe Nal Rua though he once again ran a creditable race in defeat.
Forest Dante is quite consistent as well, but he was never going well after an early mistake
