Southwell - 12:00 (16 Dec 2004)

Betdirect Co Uk Handicap Stakes Div 1 (F4 ) 1m

Course Description
The All Weather fibresand surface is much slower than the polytrack used at Lingfield and Wolverhampton and places great demands on stamina. The course also favours horses that like to race prominently.

Analysis
Another weak event and not many contestants have chances. In this race I will side with proven fibresand performer Sorbiesharry and improver Roses of York.

Sorbiesharry loves this course and was 5th 5 days ago at Southwell. However today he steps up to his preferred distance and should take all the beating today.

Roses of York came second on his All Weather debut over course and distance. Still maiden, on speed ratings he shapes as a successor if Sorbiesharrys fails to produce the goods

Racing Post Comments

There was just a modest gallop to this race which only began in earnest once in line for home. WALTZING WIZARD(1), who was on a long losing run and had never previously won over a mile, hardly had his stamina tested the way things panned out. That said,he saw his race out in willing enough style and is likely to return here next Thursday for a banded race.

Sorbiesharry continues in good heart and ran another sound race to finish clear
