I’m still getting to grips with creating my own tissue (mainly due to time pressures) so again I’ve used Racing Post’s tissue as a basis of my own version.
The key factor over 5 furlongs at Beverly is the draw bias and the tissue reflects that fact. We should also look for runners that like to run prominently drawn high. Reviewing the key stalls (from 6 upwards)
Kings Gait (top rated) likes to front run and will find it hard to dominate and grab the favoured rail position from stall 6.
Trinculo is a 9yo and on a fair handicap mark, another who will find life difficult from a low’ish draw in addition his jockey’s 0/2/24 win/place/run record at this course puts me off
Golden Dixie has always shown better form on the sand than on turf so may have been flattered by recent 2nd at Kempton. Yet to prove that he can cut the mustard at this class.
Crimson Silk; 618 day course absence to overcome
Fast Heart; on a very long losing run.
Melalchrist; Loves Beverley, once rated 94 as a 3yo now rated 80 and on a winning handicap mark (3yo), has run well fresh, unexposed. Well drawn and likes to run up with the pace
Malapropism; failed to win last term & subs well handicapped: 5f specialist. 6th last time out and up in grade today. Well drawn but far too doggy for my liking and very skinny price.
Loader Fun: relatively unexposed, campaigned against some pretty good opposition in 81-100 handicaps as a 3yo last year. Likes to run prominently, trainer and jockey in form and very interesting given the plumb draw.

Very few featured in this sprint, although with the field closing in the last furlong, little more than a length covered the first six.
TRINCULO, who hadn't been at his best on the all-weather this winter, returned to form back on turf. Breaking smartly from his middle draw, he got over towards the far rails, made all and although he edged left away from the rails, he ran on to win all out. Successful four times in 2005, he has come back in equally good shape.
King's Gait was also drawn in the middle, and was also well away. He chased the winner the whole way but just failed, and is another who is in good form. This was a sound first run after a break since August 2004 by Crimson Silk, and Golden Asha, progressive last year, looks set for another good season as she was beaten just over half a length, closing the leaders down in the last furlong, having been drawn out in stall 3 and being forced to race wide most of the way. She'll be interesting next time.
Melalchrist had a good draw, but couldn't lie up early to take full advantage. He ran on towards the finish, but never looked like winning. He may need six furlongs now.
Fast Heart is another to take from the race as little went right for him, but he ran on well to benearest at the finish.
Westbrook Blue faced a stiff task from his low draw, and Right Answer, who was worst drawn lost his chance when his blindfold was taken off late and he went left coming out of the stalls.
