Beverley 3:20 - music on the meadows here 16 june handicap (18th Apr 2007)

Hijyoooooooooni Muzukashi (very difficult in Japanese). Multiple “don’t knows” in this race but let’s give prominence to draw position and 6f horses on this stiff track.

4/1 Desert Commander, 5/1 Wyatt Earp, 12/1 Continent, Grazeon Gold Blend, 14/1 Pivotal´s Princess, Caribbean Coral

The well drawn Desert Commander is slightly vulnerable on my analysis however I’m not totally confident in two other selections to take him on and his odds are very stingy.

Considering the possibility of an upset if Desert Commander is on an off day and he can’t take advantage of a plum draw, pace analysis indicates that the prominent running Wyatt Earp might wire the field as there are not many drawn high who will take him on for the lead, but from stall 12?

So, using the betfair market to determine vulnerability of Desert Commander, if he drifts, then I play a small wager on Wyatt Earp. I’ll also insure that win bet with an exacta playing the favourite and Wyatt Earp in the second slot with those listed in my tissue on top. Should pay dividends if the theory works out.

Desert Commander is still too short, but will duck this race with a small exacta
