Southwell - Placepot (31 Jan 2006)

The racing at Southwell is really bad so my plan was to use the races on offer to practice my odds compilation technique using the “lesser of evils” template (trying to form a tissue from the best of a bad bunch) suggested by Mark Cramer’s Book – Value Handicapping.

It soon became clear that this was a fruitless task in terms of odds compilation (an absolute nightmare to be honest). However … … … the more I analysed the race cards, I realised that in my opinion there were a number of false favourites on the card. Bring on the placepot

3:20 - Moon Shot, Bulberry Hill
