With plenty of pace horses in the field Belenus will need to fend off a few challengers for the lead. Add to that the predicted ground conditions (good or good/soft?) and bounce factor and I’m going to take him on with the Jarvis pair Notability and St Andrews.

A fair 3rd in a Group 3 contest last time out, Notability should relish the ease in ground conditions. St Andrews relishes soft conditions, runs well fresh but I’m concerned that stable jock has gone for Notability. Let’s hope the normally astute Robinson has got it wrong this time.
